People Who Care

A lot of companies say they function as a family. At Keller Williams Realty, we truly do and this approach guides us every day in how we conduct our business.

We support one another in achieving goals and celebrate the accomplishment of milestones. We treat each other with respect and integrity. We challenge ourselves and our colleagues in a productive, meaningful way. We encourage growth and self-discovery, and have fun in the process. And we lend a hand whenever it is needed.

Our Mission:

To build careers worth having, businesses worth owning and lives worth living.

Our Vision:

To be the real estate company of choice for a new generation of sales associates and real estate owners.

Our Values:

God, Family, then Business

International Success Begins Locally

We believe that real estate is a local business driven by individual associates and their presence within their communities. Our associates are the face of Keller Williams Realty, so our associates have a strong voice in guiding the business through their local Associate Leadership Council (ALC).

Each ALC brings associates and management together in the market center on a monthly basis to direct decisions on how individual offices operate. Among the areas ALCs oversee are staff training and local marketing, finances and operations.

ALCs are comprised of top KW agents who know what it takes to succeed in their market and have a desire to see the company as a whole grow and prosper.

Unconventional – Our Family Reunion

Our dynamic annual meeting of agents and brokers is the best-attended company event in real estate. More than 10,000 of our family members gather to learn, socialize and become inspired to accomplish even greater goals.

What is KW Cares?

KW Cares is the brainchild of Keller Williams agents who had a dream to reach out and support fellow KW associates in times of need. Mo Anderson, vice chairman of Keller Williams Realty Inc., took this dream and brought it to fruition as a public charity – KW Cares.

Today, KW Cares is supported by all our associates across North America. It has truly become the heart of the Keller Williams culture in action – finding and serving the higher purpose of business through charitable giving in the market centers and communities where our associates live and work.

What is Keller Williams Realty REDDay?

RED (Renew, Energize and Donate) Day is a Keller Williams Realty service initiative dedicated to improving our local communities. We asked all Keller Williams Realty associates in the US and Canada to donate their time on May 14, 2009 to renewing and energizing aspects of their local communities. Because of her constant commitment to the culture of our company, this day has been dedicated in honor of our Vice Chairman, Mo Anderson.

The following is a letter from Mo Anderson, thanking all participants of Red Day 2009

Dearest KW Family,

I cannot begin to express my heartfelt gratitude for honoring my 72nd Birthday with RED Day!

Last week, our Family joined together in a day of international service to others.  You have set a standard of charity, love, and commitment in each of your communities.  We may never know the true value and impact of this incredible gift that is a result of our culture and our unity.

My eyes are filled with tears of joy and my heart is filled with loving pride as I read your letters, learn your stories, see your photographs, and watch your videos sharing the amazing work you have done in your neighborhoods across North America.  Homes have been rehabilitated.  Hungry families have been fed.  The elderly have received our time, care and respect.  Our cities have been beautified.  More acts of kindness have been given to others than can be named here.

John Maxwell says, "People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care."  Because you have opened your hearts, the world knows how much Keller Williams
cares about the communities we live in.  Your blessing to others is immeasurable.

Thank you for giving your time and energy to those in need.  You have not only changed your community and your Market Center, but you have changed the industry!  Thank you for living our Culture in action!

Cultural Summit

What is the Culture Summit?
As Co-Chairs, Mo Anderson and Kay Evans share a vision of an ever-growing and ever-stronger Culture as the KW Family continues to grow. Each year, we initiate 2 new Icons selected by each Region with the hope that this continually increasing group of Leaders will support our Culture in the Market Centers as we grow. The annual Summit is both a celebration and a work session. Mo envisions an army of more than 1,000 Culture Icons in the KW Family, paving the road for our Cultural growth.

Who attends this event?
Each year, our Co-Chairs invite the 2 new Cultural Icons from each Region, the TL and OP of each Icon, the RD and OP of each Region. We also share the event with those in the KW Family who touch our people with Culture every day: MCAngels, MAPS Coaches, the KW Cares Board of Directors, and many of our KWRI staff.

What is the role of a Cultural Icon?
The designation “Cultural Icon” is a lifetime appointment. These are Leaders in our Market Centers, living and growing our Culture every day. Cultural Icons are challenged to create annual Action Plans for the growth of Culture in their Market Centers. They work with past Icons and their Regional Leaders to create an annual Culture Plan for each Region. Icons are also called to lead by example by attending the annual Family Reunion, where they are invited to participate in Cultural Breakouts and sessions that assist them in the continued growth of our amazing KW Culture. Cultural Icons are called upon by KW Cares, to assist in finding those in need of love, support and assistance in our Market Centers. By guiding those in need to KW Cares, we are able to offer more grants to families during emergency situations. Cultural Icons are the keepers of the Culture, collecting and sharing the Culture successes and stories happening in our Market Centers every day.

Cultural Icons are resources for Culture in each Region.
